Nebraska coach sparks controversy with move after banning TikTok for players
Nebraska Cornhuskers coach Matt Rhule made it abundantly clear during the offseason: No TikTok dances in the team facility.
For Rhule, the premise was simple. The Nebraska football facility is for football only, and anything else is simply a distraction or makes a mockery of the program. In response to players getting caught filming TikToks in the facility, Rhule had players put through a grueling workout.
“So our strength coach did a TikTok workout this morning with the freshmen, and they were pushing plates with their bios and all their cool stuff they love to post on there,” he said during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” “But they were doing wall sits at the end, and every freshman had to get out and do a 10-second TikTok dance while the rest of the guys did the wall sit. Welcome to old school.”
However, Rhule seemingly has no problem if he himself has a distraction.
