BREAKING: “Huge Boost” as Cincinnati football announce new starting QB for 2024 season

Cincinnati football is set a new name as their starting quarterback for the upcoming season. This marks year two for Scott Satterfield and the Big 12 era.

Sorsby, a transfer from the Indiana Hoosiers (Big Ten), competed with Brady Lichtenburg for the starting position. Last season, Sorsby made seven starts, achieving 19 touchdowns and five interceptions, showcasing his skills against tough opponents.

Satterfield indicated that the starting QB decision would come this week after fall camp. As Cincinnati prepares for a challenging schedule, Sorsby aims to elevate the team’s performance.

The Bearcats faced a challenging debut in the Big 12 last season, finishing with a 3-9 record during Scott Satterfield’s first year.

This period also marked a cultural transformation for the program, alongside changes on the field.

Under former head coach Luke Fickell, Cincinnati became the first non-Power Five school to earn a College Football Playoff spot (prior to the Pac-12’s dissolution, leading to the current Power Four). That successful team featured standout players such as quarterback Desmond Ridder and cornerback Sauce Gardner.
