BREAKING NEWS: Houston Roughnecks re-sign quarterback Star

 

The Houston Roughnecks have re-signed quarterback Nolan Henderson, as reported on the UFL Transactions page on Wednesday.

Standing at 5 feet 11 inches and weighing 202 pounds, the 26-year-old from Smyrna, Delaware, initially signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2023 but was released on June 6 of that year.

Henderson joined the Roughnecks on January 23, 2024. During the 2024 season, he played in six games, completing 43 of 74 passes (54.7%) for a total of 529 yards, along with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. He also rushed for 142 yards and scored one touchdown on 22 carries.

In college, Henderson played for six seasons at the University of Delaware (2017-2022), where he completed 550 of 859 passes (64%) for 6,429 yards, throwing 56 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He also recorded 272 carries for 418 yards and eight rushing touchdowns over his college career. Henderson earned First Team All-CAA honors in both the 2020 and 2021 seasons and was named to the Second Team All-CAA in 2022.
