MUST READ: WELL DONE- ‘TOP PROSPECT LANDS NEW ALTY DEAL’ All you need to know on the deal

ALTRINCHAM’S flourishing Academy stands as testimony to the importance attached to developing homegrown potential at The J.Davidson Stadium, and the club are therefore immensely proud to announce that another new contract has been awarded to midfield prospect Owen German.

Owen’s advancement through the youth ranks has been closely observed by manager Phil Parkinson and assistant Neil Sorvel, who have long ago identified Owen as a developing prospect possessing the necessary qualities to establish himself at the first squad level.

After an early taste of senior football during a loan spell at Irlam, Alty’s management team was persuaded that he was progressing along the right lines and worth his spot in the Robins’ squad after he turned in a string of mature performances at the center of Wythenshawe Town’s midfield during their promotion from the North West Counties League Premier Division last season.

“There’s no better place for me to continue my development than at Alty,” declared the young midfielder, who recently signed his second contract as a senior Alty player. The teenager had an amazing debut for the Robins in a 4-0 Cheshire Senior Cup victory over Sandbach United.

“The gaffer, Sorvs, and the entire team provide the best coaching around, and they’ve equipped me with the tools I need to keep getting better at what I do. The older guys are really knowledgeable and always willing to share their insider knowledge with me. I’m learning a lot from them.

“Last year, the gaffer assisted me in organizing the loans, and they provided me with valuable knowledge about the men’s game and the requirements for winning at this level of football.

“I had a great season last year and made it to the playoffs, so I’m excited for this one. I want to do everything in my power to support this outstanding club’s promotion next season.

Alty manager Phil expressed confidence in his exceptional young player’s continued growth and development, saying, “Owen’s progress has been the most impressive out of all the graduates we’ve promoted through the Academy program.”

This upcoming season, he’ll want to climb the pyramid and strive to get a spot in the starting lineup. He will, I’m sure of it, due of his exceptional work ethic and attitude.”
