The New Zealand Warriors, also known as the One New Zealand Warriors, have achieved a remarkable milestone by selling out their first nine home games of the season.
This feat is believed to be a first for any NRL club. Building on their eight sold-out home games last season, the Warriors have now set a new benchmark. With only three more home games remaining, they are on track to achieve a perfect 14 sold-out home games for the year.
The club’s CEO, Cameron George, praised the fans and members for their unwavering support, noting that it has surpassed last year’s levels.
With tickets only available for the Warriors’ last three home games of the regular season, the club is encouraging supporters to secure their seats early. CEO Cameron George expressed hope that selling out those final games would be an amazing achievement, further demonstrating the club and rugby league’s significance to New Zealanders.
The Warriors have now sold out 17 of their 22 NRL home games since the start of the 2023 season, including matches played at various stadiums across New Zealand and Australia. This impressive streak stretches back to their last three games of the 2023 season against Manly Warringah, St George Illawarra, and Newcastle.
Even in their inaugural 1995 season as the Auckland Warriors, the team did not sell out every home game. However, the Warriors have now surpassed that record, with an average crowd of 22,739 across 10 matches at Go Media Stadium last year and an increased average of 23,658 for five home games so far this season.
