More Update: Clemson Tigers Receive A Hilarious Yet An Intriguing Message From An Influential Player
Eventually, time catches up with everyone, a reality that former Clemson Tigers standout linebacker Ben Boulware is coming to terms with at the age of 30. These days, Boulware is riding high after being promoted to linebackers coach by Dabo Swinney.
He is eager to make a positive impact on the field and in recruiting. However, he has learned not to challenge his players during workouts. This week, Boulware decided to participate in a session himself to motivate his linebacker group, but in a lighthearted twist, he admitted that he regretted that decision:
“I told the linebackers I wouldn’t ask them to do anything I couldn’t do. I am now filled with regret. Mat drills nearly put me in the grave. I’ve never seen my heart rate hit 200 before.”

I am now full of regret.

It wasn’t long ago that Boulware played a key role in the Clemson defense, helping the team secure the National Championship in 2017. Now, as a coach, he is dedicated to bringing out the best in his linebackers.
His effort is commendable as he pushes his players during offseason training and even decided to step onto the field himself to demonstrate how it’s done. While he may be sore for a bit, his players undoubtedly appreciate his commitment.
Clemson is coming off a season where they won the ACC title and made it to the College Football Playoff, although their championship aspirations were cut short. Nonetheless, the team is now focused on the 2025 season, with many analysts believing the Tigers have a strong chance of returning to the CFP and making a deep run.
Quarterback Cade Klubnik is considered one of the best returning quarterbacks in college football for the upcoming campaign, and he is expected to lead the offense effectively. Meanwhile, Boulware and the defensive coaching staff are poised to ensure the defense performs at its best as well.
