Miss. Receiver Darrion Kirksey Commits to UNC Football
Darrion Kirksey was unable to visit North Carolina this weekend. Still, he made a major move in his recruitment — he informed Inside Carolina that he committed to the Tar Heels on Friday.
UNC offered Kirksey, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound wide receiver from Gulfport (Miss.) Harrison Central High, in late February. Since then, he’s worked to visit Chapel Hill. He had a visit scheduled for this weekend but logistical reasons kept him home. It would have been his first recruiting trip of the offseason.
Kirksey aims to book a make-up UNC visit. He also has a June 20 official visit scheduled with the school.
