Michigan State Spartans Receive Another challenge On A Significant Point guard
Another team has emerged in the competition with Michigan State for a five-star guard in the 2025 recruiting class.
On Wednesday afternoon, Mike Wilson from the Knoxville News Sentinel reported that Tennessee is scheduled to hold a Zoom meeting with five-star combo guard Darius Adams. This news came just hours after several Michigan State insider sources indicated that the Spartans are intensifying their efforts to recruit Adams.
Both Michigan State and Tennessee were finalists during Adams’ initial recruitment, but he ultimately chose UConn over them last fall. Recently, Adams has decommitted from the Huskies and reopened his recruitment, making him one of the top prospects still available for the 2025 class.
Five-star guard Darius Adams and Tennessee will hold a Zoom meeting in the coming days.
The Vols recruited Adams heavily before he committed to UConn. Adams recently decommitted and fits what Tennessee needs for next season. https://t.co/Rz51gQ8LKd

According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Adams is the No. 4 combo guard and the No. 23 overall player in the 2025 class.
Adams is viewed as an ideal fit for Michigan State’s 2025-26 roster, with the potential to step in as a starting guard and also serve as a backup point guard for Jeremy Fears Jr. when necessary.
This recruitment is progressing rapidly, so be sure to follow Spartans Wire for the latest updates on Adams.
