While Olesh has postponed his decision, it is anticipated that he will announce his commitment in the week of July 8th, with Michigan being the likely choice.
Despite Florida’s efforts, Michigan is expected to prevail in Olesh’s recruitment. Michigan also holds the lead in the recruitment of top 100 wide receiver Andrew Marsh, who is likely to make his commitment announcement in August. Although Texas could potentially pursue Marsh following Dakorien Moore’s unexpected commitment to Oregon, current indications suggest that Michigan is in a favorable position.
Michigan football is experiencing an upward trend with the recruitment of a 5-star offensive tackle
They have made significant progress with Andrew Babalola and are now in close competition with Stanford for his commitment. Although there is no specific timeline for Babalola’s decision, it is widely believed that he may commit before the end of the summer.
Michigan has been steadily narrowing the gap with Stanford and has a genuine opportunity to secure his commitment. This is a crucial recruitment to monitor, as Babalola is the only 5-star prospect that Michigan is strongly in contention for. Michigan needs to make a final push to secure his commitment.
Additionally, the recruitment of Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng appears to be a battle between Michigan and Notre Dame. Despite Notre Dame’s strong recruiting efforts and a superior NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) plan, Michigan has made strides in the NIL aspect and made a strong impression on Boateng during his visit.
It seems that Michigan had the lead after his visit, and now it is essential for the coaching staff to maintain this momentum and do everything possible to secure Boateng’s commitment.
