Micah Parsons hits back at Dallas Cowboys teammate for accusing him of focusing on his podcast ahead of the 2025 NFL season.
In response to a statement made about his “misplaced” priorities prior to the 2025 NFL season, Dallas Cowboys standout Micah Parsons has gotten into a verbal altercation with a teammate.
In the ‘All Facts no Brakes’ podcast, which is hosted by former professional bowler Keyshawn Johnson, the 25-year-old linebacker didn’t hold back when criticizing Cowboys safety Malik Hooker, who for his part said that Parsons was more concerned with his hobby than the team’s on-field problems.
Hooker stated on June 27 that her advise to Micah would be to “just make sure we’re all right, and be where your feet are.” Because, really, what are you really concerned about if we’re out working and the run game is bad but you’re still producing a weekly podcast and you know it’s bad?
“Are you more concerned with the number of people listening to your podcast than you are with the team’s performance and winning the Super Bowl that we are aiming for?”
Parsons, who launched his own podcast in 2023 called “The Edge with Micah Parsons,” and was designated president of Bleacher Report’s Gridiron division—which concentrates on all creative material relating to football—did not back down in the face of criticism.
He chastised his teammate instead for airing his opinions in public rather than privately.
Parsons remarked, “Just wish you said this to me but instead on some podcast,” in a since-deleted post on X, as the Dallas Morning News reported. ‘And my number is with you, family! And you, buddy in my locker!
Following Parsons’ voluntary absence from the majority of Dallas’ offseason training, the Cowboys duo got into an online argument.
After Dan Quinn, the defensive coordinator who coached Parsons through his first three seasons, left to take a position as coach in Washington, the top pass rusher claims he hasn’t even had time for a one-on-one meeting with Mike Zimmer.
The two-time All-Pro and 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Parsons believes he’ll be lining up, ready to sack Deshaun Watson, in the opening game against Cleveland on September 8. None of the above will stop him.
During this week’s required minicamp, Parsons stated, “I don’t think a locker room is the only way I can build chemistry with my teammates.” “It doesn’t mean I don’t come in just because I’m not here at the appointed time.”
Parsons visited China as part of the NFL’s goodwill tour with C.J. Stroud, the quarterback for the Houston Texans. Before the Cowboys’ training camp in California from July 23 to August 22 later this month, he tested his cunning against sumo wrestlers abroad.
