Micah Fleming traveled from Alabama to visit Clemson. The 2027 cornerback from Thompson (Alabaster, AL) was among several rising high school juniors who checked out the campus on Saturday. He hails from the same school that produced current Clemson stars T.J. Parker and Peter Woods.
“The visit was fantastic,” Fleming told The Clemson Insider. “As soon as I walked in, I felt welcomed, not just by the coaches but by the entire staff.”
Fleming has recently visited Vanderbilt and North Carolina, and he plans to stop by Georgia Tech and Arkansas State in April. Both North Carolina and Mississippi State have extended offers to him.
Among all his visits, he noted that Clemson stood out for specific reasons.
“The food, nutrition, and training facilities were all excellent,” Fleming said. “They provide top-notch resources.”
During his visit to Clemson, the 5-foot-10 defensive back observed a spring practice and was impressed by the energy brought by new defensive coordinator Tom Allen. However, what struck him most was how the coaching staff connected with the recruits.

“When we went out for practice, the intensity was incredible,” Fleming mentioned. “They genuinely cared about player development and had a strong team bond. It felt more like a community than just football; they made the recruits feel like they were already part of the team
