Four-star athlete from Newport News (Va.) Warwick has announced his commitment to Maryland, sharing the news on Saturday evening.
He opted for the Terrapins over offers from Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Virginia, Alabama, and Syracuse.
Delhomme ranks as the No. 188 overall prospect and the No. 7 athlete in the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which averages data from the four main recruiting media outlets. He is also considered the No. 5 player in Virginia.
This marks another significant recruiting win for head coach Mike Locksley and the Terps, as Delhomme becomes the second top talent from Virginia to commit to Maryland this month, following four-star interior offensive lineman Jaylen Gilchrist from Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem, who committed on August 3.
Standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 200 pounds, Delhomme has stood out as both a receiver and a defensive back at Warwick High, which is also known for being the school of former Virginia Tech star and NFL quarterback Michael Vick.
Maryland is making significant strides in bolstering its recruiting class
Now boasting six blue-chip commitments this cycle. Delhomme and Gilchrist are the top two ranked recruits in the Terps’ 2025 class, which currently sits at No. 31 nationally and No. 10 in the Big Ten according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
June, July, and August have seen the addition of several four-star talents to Maryland’s roster. In June, On300 four-star running back Iverson Howard from Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard and four-star quarterback Malik Washington from Baltimore Archbishop Spalding both committed, kicking off a strong summer for the program.
Washington shared with On3 what made Maryland stand out for him: “Just the ability to be home and my relationship with Coach Locks.”
In July, Maryland welcomed four-star defensive lineman Bryce Jenkins from Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, D.C., and four-star athlete Zymear Smith from Denton (Md.) North Caroline, both of whom rank among the top 400 prospects.
Other notable commits in Maryland’s class include three-star linebacker CJ Smith from Baltimore Maury, three-star cornerback Jett White from Miami Edison, three-star offensive tackle Lamar Williams from Quincy (Fla.) Gadsden County, three-star wide receiver Justin Devaughn from Baltimore Mergenthaler, and three-star running back Bud Coombs from Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic.
