Jaquari Lewis, the explosive 2025 runner and state champion, will be joining the Appalachian State Mountaineers after committing during his official visit. His commitment during the successful official visit weekend for Appalachian State adds another dimension to their roster, as he hails from the powerhouse Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, FL.
Last season, Lewis and his team, the Lions, dominated as undefeated 1M Florida state champions.
Lewis stood out among the talented Chaminade-Madonna runners, showcasing his skills with 481 rushing yards at an impressive 7.8 yards per carry, scoring six touchdowns on the ground. Additionally, he made an impact in the receiving game with 220 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite sharing carries in a deep backfield, Lewis shone in games where he had at least 10 carries, averaging 128.3 rushing yards and 9.0 yards per carry, including four of his six rushing touchdowns. Notably, he contributed 92 yards and a touchdown in the state title game triumph.
Lewis’ commitment marks the third Florida prospect to choose Appalachian State on the same day, joining Juan Berchal and Teddy Hoffman. He will also be part of the Mountaineers’ recruiting class alongside North Carolina running back Max Guest.
