“Massive Boost” as another On3 4-star electrifying playmaker commits to Tennessee
“I wanted to go somewhere where I am going to fit in,” said House, the No. 284 overall prospect and No. 24 defensive lineman. “At Tennessee, it felt like it was that right fit.”
Tennessee’s coaching staff played a significant role in influencing House’s decision. His connection with the staff began with defensive analyst Levorn Harbin, who maintained daily contact with him. Subsequently, House formed strong bonds with defensive line coach Rodney Garner and head coach Heupel, with whom he shares an “amazing connection” and speaks daily.
The highly-rated recruit is optimistic about where Heupel is steering the Volunteers. He is confident that Tennessee will have an excellent season this fall and will eventually secure a spot in the College Football Playoff.
“He’s made me feel valued because not many college football head coaches prioritize recruiting the way he did,” House stated. “He calls me regularly to check up on me. During my official visit, we spent a lot of time together on a boat and had breakfast together as well. This strengthened the bond between us.”
House also praised Harbin for his exceptional recruitment efforts, noting that he was treated “like family.” The fact that Harbin took the time to get to know House’s parents left a strong impression on the North Carolina native.
Additionally, House was impressed by Garner. They have already discussed how House will fit into Tennessee’s defensive scheme, as well as areas of improvement based on his film and game.
“He told me that he was offered a job at Auburn but he assured me that he wouldn’t leave for any amount of money,” House explained. “He emphasized his commitment to Tennessee, which significantly influenced my opinion of him as a man.”
