Maryland Terrapins Receive Another Massive Development News After NCAA Announcement
Ten athletes from the Maryland track and field team have earned spots to compete at the NCAA East First Round meet, which will take place in Jacksonville, Florida, from May 28–31.
The qualifiers include Tolu Akinduro (triple jump), Eric Albright (800 meters), Jack Barchet (800 meters), Morgan Graham (discus and hammer), Chioma Njoku (hammer), Maya Valmon (400 meters), and the women’s 4×400-meter relay team—Samantha Payne, Lydia Robling, Kami Joi Hickson, and Maya Mosley.
Chioma Njoku leads the group in regional rankings, sitting at No. 9 in the hammer throw. Eric Albright is ranked 20th in the 800 meters, while Morgan Graham holds the 16th spot in the discus.
Former Maryland point guard and current Fenerbahce head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius became the first person to win the Eurolegue Championship as both a player and coach. He’s regarded as one of the top coaches in Europe.
