Peyton Marshall, a former four-star recruit who spent his freshman year at Missouri, has officially signed a grant-in-aid to attend Georgia Tech and play for the Yellow Jackets’ men’s basketball team, as announced by head coach Damon Stoudamire. Marshall still has three years of eligibility left.

Standing at 7 feet and weighing 300 pounds, the post player participated in 22 games for the Tigers, averaging 4.3 minutes per game. Throughout the season, he recorded a total of 25 rebounds, 23 points, and six blocks, with a season-high of six points scored against California in December.

Peyton gives us a physical presence. His ability to set screens and pass the ball are elite. In limited minutes last year, his impact was felt. We look forward to his continued development as he, Baye (Ndongo), Mo (Sylla), and Cole (Kirouac) give us lots combinations to play along our frontline.”

Ranked as high as the No. 69 recruit in the nation by 247 Sports, Marshall competed with Overtime Elite during his senior year in 2023-24, where he averaged 8.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 17.0 minutes per game, shooting 56.6 percent from the field. Before joining OTE, he played a pivotal role in leading Kell High School to its first state championship in 2023, earning honors as the class 5A Player of the Year in his junior year along with all-state recognition. Additionally, Marshall participated in the 2024 Capital Classic All-Star Game, contributing to a United States Team victory with 14 points, five rebounds, and two assists in a 105-102 win.

Marshall becomes the third transfer commitment for the Yellow Jackets, joining 6-6 wing Kam Craft from Miami, Ohio, and 6-4 guard Lamar Washington from Pacific. They are part of a freshman class for Tech that is ranked No. 12 nationally according to Rivals, No. 4 among Atlantic Coast Conference teams, and No. 22 in the 247Sports composite rankings.

The freshman class also features four-star 6-4 guard Akai Fleming from Marietta, Ga., who is with Overtime Elite in Atlanta, four-star 6-10 center Mouhamed Sylla from Louga, Senegal, who attended Bella Vista Prep in Arizona, three-star 6-5 guard/forward Brandon Stores, Jr. from St. Raymond High School for Boys in the Bronx, N.Y., three-star 6-11 center Cole Kirouac from Cumming, Ga., also from Overtime Elite, and three-star 5-11 point guard Eric Chatfield from Pace Academy in Atlanta.
