Georgia Tech has secured another recruit from an ACC rival, with wide receiver from Buford announcing his commitment to the Yellow Jackets on Monday via social media. Allen had previously committed to Louisville in April and is the second player in three days to choose Tech, following Cedartown safety Tae Harris, who decommitted from Clemson and committed to Tech on Saturday.
Rated as a three-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite, Allen has had an impressive season with 31 receptions for 771 yards and five touchdowns. He has also contributed nine carries for 76 yards for Buford, which holds an 11-1 record and will face North Gwinnett in the third round of the GHSA state playoffs on Friday.
At 5-8 and 170 pounds, Allen boasts over 30 scholarship offers and was in attendance at Bobby Dodd Stadium on November 9 to watch Tech defeat Miami. Last season, as a junior, he recorded 35 catches for 588 yards and two touchdowns. With Allen’s commitment, Georgia Tech now has a total of 23 commitments for the 2025 class, which is currently ranked 17th in the nation and second in the ACC.
