LSU Tigers Receive Another Sudden News After A Massive Lost
Kelvin Joseph, a former defensive back for LSU and Kentucky, has been charged with driving while intoxicated following a fatal motorcycle accident in Richardson, Texas, where he is 25 years old.
On social media, the Richardson Police indicated they were looking into the incident, which took place on U.S. Highway 75. The deceased motorcyclist was identified as 27-year-old Cody Morris from Plano, Texas, who tragically lost his life just before 5 a.m. in the 2400 block of the highway.
Joseph notified the Plano Police about his involvement in the collision. According to a police statement, there were apparent “signs of intoxication” observed in Joseph during their conversation after the crash.
The Baton Rouge native is facing a misdemeanor charge for driving while intoxicated, along with a felony charge for causing a crash resulting in death.
Joseph played 11 games for LSU as a true freshman in 2018, then transferred to Kentucky, where he sat out the 2019 season due to transfer regulations and made 9 starts in 2020.
He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, spending 2 seasons with the team. Joseph has also played for the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts, and Minnesota Vikings. Currently, he plays cornerback for the DC Defenders in the XFL.
