LSU Tigers Elite Defensive Playmaker Gets Major Update
The LSU Tigers aim to improve their defense in 2025 despite losing at least six starters to the 2025 NFL Draft or the transfer portal. The team added several transfers, with younger players expected to step into full-time roles, along with returning starters. Highlighting one of the Tigers’ key returning starters is their All-SEC linebacker.
LSU Tigers’ elite LB had a great sophomore campaign before the injury
During a press conference in March, Brian Kelly provided a promising injury update on Whit Weeks. The head coach stated that the standout junior linebacker was on track for summer workouts and fall camp. During SEC Media Days, Kelly repeated the same sentiment roughly three weeks before the start of fall camp.
“They’ll have no restrictions going into camp,” Kelly said, via Alexis Yoder of LSU Wire. “We feel really good about it.”
Whit Weeks feels great
“It was a long road to get back, but I’m feeling better than I ever have. And I credit that to the training staff and strength coaches,” Weeks said, via Zack Nagy of Sports Illustrated. “They spent a lot of time with me this offseason getting my body right and getting my ankle healthy.”
