JUST IN : LSU Confirm Another Massive Commitment News

Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers made a major splash in the college football recruiting world by securing a commitment from five-star athlete Lamar Brown, a standout from Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab.
Widely regarded as the nation’s top-ranked athlete, Brown has excelled on both offense and defense throughout his high school career.
Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 285 pounds, the Louisiana native chose to stay home and commit to LSU over other top programs, including Texas A&M, Texas, and Miami. The opportunity to represent his hometown played a major role in his decision.
“It just feels right to play for my city and my state—not just for the next few years, but beyond football. I’m truly blessed to be here and can’t wait to play in Tiger Stadium,” Brown shared.
He also credited LSU associate head coach Frank Wilson and the rest of the coaching staff for building strong connections with him. “Frank Wilson has been on me from day one. I’ve built relationships with everyone on the staff. They’ve all played a role in this moment,” he added.
Following his commitment to LSU, Rivals released an updated set of recruiting rankings, giving Brown a significant bump. He now sits as the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Lamar Brown currently ranks just behind five-star EDGE Zion Elee—who is committed to Maryland—for the top spot in the 2026 recruiting class.
Dubbed the “Travis Hunter of linemen,” Brown has earned comparisons to the Colorado star for his rare ability to dominate on both offense and defense.
LSU’s 2026 recruiting class now sits among the top 10 nationally, with Brown and fellow five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys leading the way.
Rivals recently updated their evaluation of Brown as he prepares for his senior season, highlighting his exceptional versatility and athleticism:
Rivals Scouting Report: Lamar Brown
Brown is a rare five-star-level talent capable of starring on either side of the line. Measuring around 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds heading into his senior year, he boasts impressive physical tools, including 34-inch arms and elite athletic testing results on the national camp circuit.
He plays both right tackle and defensive end at the high school level. His explosive athleticism is evident—he gets off the ball quickly, shows great burst in pass protection, and can overpower defenders once engaged. On defense, he brings disruption with his strength, ability to shed blocks, and quick pursuit of the quarterback.
While Brown is more polished on the offensive line heading into his final high school season, he still offers intriguing upside as a defensive lineman. If he focused solely on offense, he could be the top interior line prospect in the 2026 class. As a defender, he’s viewed as a high-upside developmental prospect with the potential to excel as he sharpens his technique and gains more experience.
