Louisville Receive Another Clear Message From A Talented three-star, Sam Dawson
Sam Dawson, a defensive line commit for Louisville from South Oldham High School, has finalized the date for his official visit with the Cardinals. The three-star in-state recruit is scheduled to be part of the second wave of visitors in June.
In a conversation with Cardinal Authority after a recent South Oldham practice, Dawson confirmed the visit plans.
“It’s set for June 6,” he said. “We’ll be doing a photo shoot and all that. The hotel rooms are booked. I’m looking forward to it.”
Standing at 6-foot-4.5 and weighing 290 pounds, Dawson has made numerous trips to Louisville, both in a recruiting capacity and as a fan, giving him strong familiarity with the program and coaching staff. However, during his upcoming official visit, he’s hoping to explore aspects of the university beyond football.
“I haven’t had a chance to see the academic side yet,” Dawson said. “I’ve only toured the football facilities. I’d really like to check out the campus, see my dorm, and get a feel for everything else while I’m there. That would be awesome.”
Dawson wrapped up his junior season with an impressive stat line: 60 total tackles, including 16 solo, eight tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, one sack, and an interception.

The Louisville commit is currently ranked as the No. 91 defensive line prospect in the nation by 247Sports.
