Latest De’Von Achane Injury Update After Leaving Week 5 vs. Patriots

The Miami Dolphins have lost De’Von Achane to a concussion.

Sunday brought some good news for the Dolphins as Raheem Mostert returned to the field for the first time since Week 1, but their running back depth quickly diminished with Achane’s exit.

Achane remained on the ground for several minutes before heading to the blue medical tent. Announcers indicated he likely sustained a concussion, leading to his official ruling out for the game.

With Achane sidelined, the Dolphins will rely on Mostert and rookie Jaylen Wright to spearhead the rushing offense.

Dolphins Lose De’Von Achane to Concussion in Week 5

The Dolphins have confirmed that Achane is out for the remainder of the game after undergoing a concussion evaluation.

The Dolphins can’t afford to lose more players, now relying solely on Jaylen Wright and Raheem Mostert, as Jeff Wilson remains inactive for today’s game.

While Miami has shown slight improvement compared to last week, their performance was poor on Monday night, leaving them no room for further decline. Mike McDaniel’s offense is struggling to establish a rhythm against the Patriots.

Though much attention is on Tyler Huntley during his second start, the absence of Achane is a significant setback. His past injuries also raise concerns, as he missed parts of last season.

The Dolphins need Mostert to elevate his game, but their offensive line is underperforming, which must improve for any success against a strong Patriots defensive front. Currently, the Patriots are allowing yards to the Dolphins’ receivers, primarily when Huntley is scrambling.

Losing Achane is a damaging blow for Miami in this game and potentially for future matches.
