The USC Trojans are on a strong recruiting streak. Following recent commitments from 2025 linebacker Ty Jackson and 2026 defensive lineman Viliami Moala, they have now secured a commitment from five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles.

Myles, a 6’3″, 215-pound receiver from Utah, chose USC over Texas A&M and Utah. He recently elevated from a four-star to a five-star prospect in On3’s rankings and is now the 26th overall prospect in the 2025 class. He ranks as the fifth-best wide receiver in the nation and is the top prospect from Utah.

Myles had been predicted to commit to USC, and he made it official today.

Myles praised the coaching staff for making his decision easier, noting their experience with NFL players and their ability to develop talent. He also appreciated the opportunities for success beyond football at USC.

Before narrowing down his choices, Myles received 28 scholarship offers from schools such as Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio State. He has showcased impressive speed and skills on the field, drawing comparisons to Rome Odunze, the ninth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

After visiting USC just before their game against Utah State, where they won decisively 48-0, Myles quickly set his top three schools. His performance this season has significantly boosted his recruitment status, helping Corner Canyon High School achieve a 4-1 record, including an upset over No. 3 IMG Academy.

Myles’ commitment adds to USC’s growing list of top recruits for 2025, as they continue to strengthen their roster under head coach Lincoln Riley.

Jerome Myles, a five-star wide receiver from Utah, has committed to the USC Trojans for their 2025 recruiting class. He will join three other receivers in the class: four-star Corey Simms, four-star Tanook Hines, and three/four-star Romero Ison.

This 2025 receiving corps is starting to resemble USC’s 2023 class, which included commitments from Zachariah Branch, Duce Robinson, Makai Lemon, and Ja’Kobi Lane, all of whom are still with the team. Not only is the number of receivers in the class similar, but their playing styles are also quite alike, which should allow them to develop well as freshmen when the 2023 group are juniors.

Head coach Lincoln Riley deserves credit, but wide receivers coach Dennis Simmons continues to demonstrate that he is one of the top recruiters in the country. Once he secures a commitment, his players stay and develop into NFL-caliber receivers.

On3 currently ranks the USC Trojans’ 2025 class 15th, but the addition of Jerome Myles will certainly boost their ranking significantly.
