Breaking: Steve Sarkisian & the Longhorns Receive Massive Commitment News over TCU and Texas Tech

The quarterback room for the Texas Longhorns received an addition on Sunday with the commitment of McCallum’s Luke Dunham as a preferred walk-on two days after receiving the opportunity from head coach Steve Sarkisian’s staff.

The local product will join Arch Manning, Trey Owens, KJ Lacey, and fellow walk-on Joe Tatum in position coach AJ Milwee’s quarterback room following the graduation of walk-on Cole Lourd.

The lanky 6’3, 185-pounder chose Texas over an offer from Midwestern State and interest from a number of other schools after camping at or taking visits to Texas State, and Texas Tech.

“I was born and raised in Austin by parents who met at UT, so it’s always been my dream to play football here,” Dunham told Inside Texas. “Also seeing what Sark has done for the program and where it’s at I don’t think there’s a better place to be if you want to develop as a quarterback and win a national championship.”

Dunham reports a 4.6 40-yard dash and was a first-team All-District selection as a senior after throwing for 2,635 yards and 28 touchdowns and running for almost 700 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also plays basketball and runs track at McCallum.
