Georgia football has remained steady with five commitments in their 2026 recruiting class for a while, but it’s clear that this number will soon rise.
Kirby Smart and his team have done a fantastic job over the past month and a half of positioning themselves favorably with many of the top recruits in the country. However, they have had to exercise patience while awaiting their next commitment. Fortunately, the period when most recruits reveal their commitments is approaching, so Georgia fans won’t have to wait much longer.
Four-star linebacker Nick Abrams is a key target for Georgia, and it seems he also has a strong interest in UGA. This is promising news, as Abrams has just announced the date for his commitment, expected to take place later this summer.

-star Nick Abrams is set to announce his commitment on July 16, according to Ryan O’Bleness.
Abrams has revealed his top 10 schools, which includes Georgia along with Alabama, Duke, Michigan State, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, USC, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt. He is expected to visit all 10 schools this spring, including a trip to Athens.
While Abrams hasn’t disclosed where he will take his official visits later this summer, he will likely decide after completing his spring visits to these finalists. Georgia appears to be in a strong position, especially considering the competition they’re facing. Although there are prominent rival programs, UGA should feel quite confident in their chances.
Abrams’ spring visits will happen quickly, so keep an eye out for more concrete information about his recruitment as these visits unfold.
