Kentucky Top player Yet Again speaks with the media about some important updates
A horse named “Brea From Three,” after former Kentucky basketball sharpshooter Koby Brea, is set to race on Thursday at Keeneland. The race will take place at 1 p.m. and features 2-year-old maidens competing over a distance of 4 1/2 furlongs, as mentioned on the racing site Equibase. Maiden races include horses that have yet to win a race. The event has a purse of $ 90,000, and Brea From Three is listed with odds of 15-1, which are the third-longest in the eight-horse field, according to Equibase. These odds are fitting for Brea, who is known for his long-range shooting. Brea himself saw the horse’s name on Keeneland’s start list and commented on X that he thought it was “pretty cool.”
Does @kobybrea know he has a horse named after him racing at Keeneland on Thursday? Cool stuff. pic.twitter.com/vFIaH8ziIz

The horse is owned by Nicholas Greathouse and Kelly Colliver, through their group Run Like Elle 2, LLC, as reported by Equibase. Brea From Three is trained by John Ennis and will be ridden by Walter Rodriguez. During his single year at Kentucky, Brea quickly became a fan favorite. After transferring from Dayton—where he led the nation in 3-point shooting percentage during the 2023-24 season—he shot 44% from beyond the arc and averaged a career-high of 11.6 points per game as a Wildcat. Brea made 93 3-pointers last season, which ties him for the seventh-most in a single season in program history. Additionally, he is ranked fourth all-time in the program for 3-point field-goal percentage (with a minimum of 150 attempts).
