With Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels actively seeking to expand their 2025 recruiting class, they currently have only a few targets remaining. Following one commitment, the Tar Heels aim to build on that success.

One key target is five-star forward Caleb Wilson.

The Atlanta native ranks as one of the top recruits in the 2025 class, attracting interest from major programs. Recent reports indicate a heated competition between the Tar Heels and the Kentucky Wildcats. While Wilson’s recruitment has been relatively quiet, a potential favorite has begun to stand out.

The Wildcats recently received a crystal ball prediction for Wilson on 247Sports from Aaron Gershon, a writer for Cat’s Pause, which covers Kentucky. Gershon expressed a confidence level of six in his prediction.

Although a crystal ball from a local reporter doesn’t guarantee a commitment, it can indicate a recruit’s leanings. Predictions from national analysts are typically viewed favorably as well.

So, what does this imply for North Carolina?
The crystal ball is not a positive sign for the Tar Heels, who have pursued Wilson for an extended period. He has visited UNC’s campus multiple times, including just a few weeks ago.

The Tar Heels will continue their pursuit of Wilson, but as noted by Rob Cassidy in a recent report, the momentum seems to be shifting towards Kentucky, and the crystal ball prediction reinforces that trend.
