Kentucky basketball head coach Mark Pope confirms that the Wildcats are set to add two elite recruits

Multiple insiders are starting to see the stars aligning for Kentucky and two of their top prospects.

Kentucky basketball is already boasting one of the top recruiting classes in the nation, but Coach Mark Pope isn’t stopping there. He’s on the hunt for a few more elite recruits before next season, and insiders are hinting that two prospects are close to making their commitments to the Wildcats.

The first standout, Acaden Lewis, made history with the first official photoshoot on an LED floor. Analysts saw Kentucky as the frontrunner from the start, and their chances may have solidified during Big Blue Madness. Since then, crystal ball predictions from 24/7 Sports have increasingly favored a commitment to Kentucky for Lewis. Currently, there are four predictions for him to land in Lexington, with two holding high confidence and two at medium.

As he narrows his options to Kentucky, Duke, and UConn, reports suggest that Lewis plans to commit in the first week of November.

The other elite recruit in the mix is Caleb Wilson, a top-10 talent who has caught the eye of programs nationwide. While North Carolina, Kentucky, and Arkansas are all in the running, Lewis and Wilson have discussed the possibility of playing together. Though they may not form a package deal, the recruitment dynamics suggest that whoever secures a commitment from one may have a leg up on the other.

Kentucky has consistently been a favorite for Wilson, and indications are growing that he too could commit to the Wildcats soon. A recent tweet has raised speculation even further:

Are we on the brink of adding both Lewis and Wilson to the roster? It’s looking increasingly likely, but let’s not put the cows in the barn just yet
