“Highly conflicting” Georgia Tech wide receiver no longer with the program as announced by coach Brent Key

Georgia Tech wide receiver Christian Leary is no longer with the program, as announced by coach Brent Key on Saturday following the Yellow Jackets’ 31-19 loss to No. 19 Louisville. Key stated that Leary left the program for “personal reasons.”

Leary, who started his career at Alabama, joined Tech for the 2023 season, where he recorded 25 catches for 309 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 21 kickoff returns for 463 yards. However, during this season, Leary managed only three receptions for 27 yards and two returns for 35 yards. He participated in 40 total snaps on offense and 14 on special teams.

Leary was regarded as a four-star recruit from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida. During his time at Alabama, he caught three passes for 10 yards and a touchdown across 18 games over two seasons before transferring to Tech.
