The 22-year-old defender has officially returned to Latics after suffering a knee injury last month that sidelined him for the rest of the season.
He played 33 games for the Saints, and is very disappointed that he couldn’t complete his time playing for the team on the field.
“I am extremely disappointed to miss the final matches of this season, and my greatest desire is to be able to support my teammates and contribute to the team’s performance in the remaining games by playing on the field,” he stated.
“But that’s football, and I’ll be watching with complete confidence that the team can finish the season in a strong manner. “The key points are:
- “That’s football” – Acknowledging that the sport of football can be unpredictable or have unexpected outcomes.
- “I’ll be watching with every confidence” – Expressing a high level of trust or belief that the team will perform well.
- “Finish the season strongly” – Indicating an expectation that the team will end the season on a positive note, with a strong performance.
The paraphrase conveys the same meaning as the original statement, but rephrases it using slightly different wording.

Latics manager Shaun Maloney believes Robinson, a former Scotland Under-21 left-back, will contend for a starting position in League One next season. Robinson credits his loan experience for enhancing his readiness to compete for a starting spot.
“The experiences gained during my time here will undoubtedly be advantageous when I return to Wigan,” he remarked. “I have developed significantly as both a player and an individual since joining Saints. “I have gained valuable insights about myself throughout my tenure and acquired important life lessons. I am grateful for the opportunities this club has provided me in my career and I extend my best wishes to everyone for the future.

“The team members are exceptional, the supporters are enthusiastic, and the organization as a whole holds a unique place. Whenever I played, I aimed to give my all on the field. I trust that my efforts were evident in my performances. The team has played a significant role in my positive experience at the club.
