Just In: UNC Basketball is aggressively pursuing Talented 6-foot-8 forward gold medalist Hubert Davis confirms

The son of former Duke star Carlos Boozer rates North Carolina as one of the top six schools courting him and talks highly of head coach Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball programme.

The twins of former Duke standout Carlos Boozer, Cameron and Cayden, are outstanding prospects in the Class of 2025.

Both of them are being extensively recruited by North Carolina, despite the fact that their father, Carlos Boozer, is a two-time NBA All-Star who bleeds the ugly shade of blue. Each received offers to participate in the UNC basketball programme in May 2023.

The twin brothers are among the best prospects in the country, but Cameron has distinguished himself in the very competitive high school scene and is ranked as the No. 2 overall player in the Class of 2025. Cameron recently gave a glowing review of North Carolina and head coach Hubert Davis in an interview with Sam Lance of ZagsBlog.

UNC: “It’s their intensity on the field and their excellent defence. One more college that is among the best-performing institutions. similar things. [Hubert Davis] is an amazing person. He truly inspires his guys to work hard and compete each and every night. That is the reason they excelled this year. Thus, that’s most likely the key issue.”

Boozer named the Tar Heels, along with Miami, Michigan, Arkansas, Florida, and Duke, his father’s alma mater, as one of the six schools in the country that is recruiting him the hardest.

At the 2023 FIBA Americas U16 Championship, the 6-foot-8 forward led the squad with 9.8 rebounds per game and took home the gold medal.

Since neither brother has chosen a college, it’s possible that Cameron and Cayden will enrol at the same institution.

The UNC basketball team would be thrilled to have that partnership take place in Chapel Hill, which would introduce yet another wild twist to the long-standing rivalry between North Carolina and Duke.
