Just In: UCLA has landed the key commitment of a talented, highly sought-after OL from Iowa State

Flew under the radar, a transfer offensive lineman from Iowa State, has joined UCLA. Akinshilo, originally from California and a graduate of Leuzinger High School, has returned home by joining UCLA.

After attending El Camino following high school, he transferred to Iowa State for a couple of years before landing at UCLA. Standing at 6’5 and weighing 335 pounds, he possesses ideal size for his position and is likely to play at guard.

Additionally, he has two years of eligibility remaining.

Akinshilo has already settled in at UCLA, making it official. Though Alani Makihele is expected to start at right guard, and Spencer Holstege at left guard, Akinshilo provides much-needed depth for the Bruins’ interior line as they head into the season.
