JUST IN: The Saints are in the process of signing another brilliant player

The New Orleans Saints have several impending free agents for the 2024 season, including key players like Michael Thomas, Jameis Winston, Zack Baun, Andrus Peat, Rashid Shaheed, and others.

The team is currently evaluating whether to retain or release these players as free agency approaches. They have a mix of unrestricted free agents, restricted free agents, and exclusive rights free agents among their pending free agents. Notable individuals such as Andrus Peat, Rashid Shaheed, and Isaac Yiadom are part of this group.

The Saints are working on managing their roster and salary cap constraints as they gear up for the upcoming 2024 season. Additionally, the team is anticipated to bring back cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles, who contributed in the final games of the previous season.

Jean-Charles, who is 25 years old, began his NFL career in 2021 when he was selected in the fifth round by the Green Bay Packers. Over two seasons, he participated in 20 games without starting any of them. Initially, he was with the 49ers at the start of the previous season, but they released him in late November.
The Saints subsequently added him to their practice squad and later promoted him to the active roster on January 4.The anticipated agreement with Jean-Charles came on a busy Friday for the Saints, as they also announced the signings of quarterback Kellen Mond and wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown to one-year contracts.
