Just In: Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian Announce Major Signing

Caleb Chester, a three-star cornerback from Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall, has disclosed his commitment to the University of Texas to Hayes Fawcett at On3.

He opted for the local Longhorns over Texas A&M, TCU, Arkansas, and LSU.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, which combines assessments from four major recruiting media outlets, Chester is ranked as the No. 599 prospect overall and the 61st cornerback in the 2025 recruitment class. Additionally, he holds the 93rd spot among players in Texas.

Throughout the year, the up-and-coming defensive back has visited The Forty Acres multiple times, including trips in both January and April, leading up to his recent official visit. Blake Gideon, Terry Joseph, and the Texas coaching staff have consistently shown interest in Chester, making him the first defensive back commit in Texas’ 2025 recruiting class.
