Despite not being formally listed as a Duke basketball recruit, celebrated wing Dwayne Aristode of Brewster Academy (N.H.) has been on the program’s radar for about a year. The 6-foot-8, 185-pound five-star from the Netherlands is still “talking visits” with the Durham coaches after his first prep year in the United States, he told On3’s Jamie Shaw in a recent interview.
Aristode, who is No. 4 among small forwards and No. 19 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, has only visited Wake Forest and Arizona on official visits thus far. However, he intends to add a few more this summer; at the present, he has Duke, UConn, Virginia, and UCLA on his list of possible excursions.
Aristode, who is a member of the highly competitive Nike EYBL team Expressions Elite, is averaging 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in just 21.8 minutes per game through the first two sessions of play. Expressions Elite is currently 6-0.

With a 15-for-28 shooting percentage (53.6%) from beyond the arc, he further establishes himself as one of the country’s most effective knockout 3-point shooters.
It might not take long for Blue Devil head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff to conclude that Aristode’s versatility and ability to make 3-pointers make him a must-have on their official wishlist. They are now in the final stages of finalizing their 2024–25 roster through the transfer portal.
As of this week, Prolific Prep (Calif.) forward AJ Dybantsa, the cycle’s top prospect overall, is among the nine names on Duke basketball’s 2025 offer sheet. All five-star prospects are ranked among the top 20 in the class.
