After spending one season at Florida Atlantic without participating in a game, quarterback Luke Rucker is heading to the opposite coast of the state. His move was confirmed by his trainer on X on Tuesday.
Rucker entered the transfer portal in late April.
Standing at 6′ 4″, Rucker hails from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida, and was rated three stars by On3 for the class of 2023. In his senior year, he amassed 1,385 passing yards and 12 touchdowns, building on an impressive junior year with 1,849 yards and 26 touchdowns.
Rucker will be joining a USF team that showed promise with a 7-6 record in 2023 under head coach Alex Golesh. The Bulls will kick off their 2024 season on August 31, facing in-state rival Bethune Cookman.
