A former UTSA wide receiver, inked a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars in April. As part of the arrangement, should Cephus be released, the Brahmas would retain his rights.
In the UFL College Draft, the United Football League selects college players to hold their rights in case alternative opportunities do not materialize.
Hailing from the Houston region, Cephus is joined by several players with Texas ties in the 2024 Brahmas draft class, including Gabe Hall from Baylor University, Gabriel Murphy who began his college career at the University of North Texas before transferring to UCLA, and Miles Battle, originally from Houston and a former Utah Utes cornerback.

The roster comprises existing NFL athletes who may switch to the Brahmas should their NFL prospects falter.
Players under a UFL contract are entitled to undergo an NFL trial and can depart the UFL if an NFL franchise intends to sign them.
Cephus and the other newcomers of the Jaguars are scheduled to assemble for training camp on July 19, while the remainder of the squad will convene on July 23.
