JUST IN: Rangers could free up over £9.5m from annual wage bill if Ibrox exit links realised

Rangers appear poised for another significant summer transfer revamp that has the potential to reshape the club’s wage structure. The beginning of the 2023/2024 season for the Gers faced challenges as Michael Beale oversaw the most extensive squad overhaul at Rangers since Steven Gerrard’s tenure.
The transformation initiated by Rangers was not fully completed, as some high-earning senior players remained or were in the process of running down their contracts.
This summer, as many as eight of the club’s most seasoned and experienced players may depart, potentially reducing the wage budget significantly.
Although there is still speculation surrounding some of the players, the Ibrox club could potentially save over £9.5 million annually if all these players leave. To assess the likelihood of each player’s departure, we will categorize them as red (likely to leave), amber (may leave), or blue (likely to stay).
