JUST IN: New York Jets Coach And Owner Engaged In ‘Heated Conversation’ At The NFL Owner’s Meeting

On the “Around the NFL” podcast, Colleen Wolfe mentioned that New York Jets coach Robert Saleh and owner Woody Johnson had a “intense” conversation during the NFL owner’s meetings.

Wolfe mentioned that the heated exchange occurred at the Tuesday night party during the owner’s meetings. She alluded to a tense conversation between Woody and Robert Saleh, suggesting it was somewhat uncomfortable.

Wolfe humorously speculated that their disagreement might have been over something as trivial as steak preferences, although she acknowledged the actual topic remained unclear. She highlighted that it was solely a discussion between the two of them.

On the other hand, local reporter Conner Hughes, who covers the Jets for SNY, denied any verbal altercation between Saleh and Johnson at the NFL’s annual meeting reception.

Hughes stated that he was present at the party where the alleged incident took place and observed nothing of the sort. He confirmed with sources that nothing untoward occurred during the dinner that followed.

During the previous season, the New York Jets had high hopes after acquiring star quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a trade with the Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately, Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury just minutes into his debut with the team.

This setback led to struggles at the quarterback position, and the Jets finished the season with a 7-10 record for the second consecutive year
