His son, Pavel Bure, is a Hockey Hall of Famer, boasting numerous accolades throughout his remarkable career, including the Calder Trophy for Rookie of the Year in 1992 and two Maurice ‘Rocket’ Richard trophies as the NHL’s top goal scorer. Valeri Bure played 10 seasons in the NHL and participated in the league’s All-Star game in 2000. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of the legendary Vladimir Bure.
Back in my sports journalism days I once found myself sitting in the stands with a very proud Vladimir Bure interviewing him about having two sons in the NHL while the team practiced. I still think that was crazy – in a really cool way. https://t.co/T9K361F8gj
