In-state WR Jaire Richburg a top Wolfpack target Dave Doeren Confirms

For almost a decade, East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, North Carolina, has been regarded as one of the best in the state. It should come as no surprise that the Eagles have produced a number of Division I talents. Fortunately for NC State, the Wolfpacks have had great success recruiting at the school.

One of the Eagles’ next big-time college prospects, rising junior wide receiver Jaire Richburg is also a top pick for the Wolfpack in the 2026 class. Along with being an outstanding basketball player at East Forsyth, Richburg had an outstanding sophomore campaign. He caught 42 receptions for 589 yards and nine touchdowns, collecting 218 yards from kickoff returns, and he helped the Eagles to a 10-2 record.

He is now anticipated to lead East Forsyth in the upcoming fall season.

“I’m eager for the season—I’m prepared,” the 6-foot-3, 180-pound Richburg declared. “During the offseason, I’ve really concentrated on honing my technique and all the tiny details. This autumn, I must undoubtedly assume a bigger leadership position.”

Richburg’s reputation is growing rapidly among recruiters, and he has received well over ten scholarships. A smaller number of schools, nevertheless, are expressing the greatest interest in the East Forsyth playwright.

‌ “North Carolina, Virginia Tech and NC State are recruiting me hardest,” Richburg stated. It is undoubtedly significant. Additionally, each of the schools is nearby.”

Joker Phillips, an experienced assistant, is leading State’s recruitment efforts. Richburg was one of Phillips’ early targets, and the big-play receiver has taken a positive view of his persistent, sincere approach to recruiting.

‌ “He actually came to one of my spring practices and that really meant a lot,” Richburg stated. It indicates how much he desires me. I’m sure I would have that relationship if I went there.

He told me he liked my movement and my ability to go up and get the ball. I enjoy how he challenges you and encourages you to give it your all. I don’t need coaches who will give you what you want to hear; I need honesty.”

This year, Richburg has paid two visits to the Pack. He visited the campus for the first time during its junior day in January, and he recently came back for one of State’s spring practices. He had in-depth talks with head coach Dave Doeren during each visit.

“He’s told me I’m an important target and said they’re really trying to start building the (2026) class early,” said Richburg. “He’s looking for the top boys in the state. He opposes our traveling outside of the state.”

This spring, he visited Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, and UNC outside of State. Although he hasn’t booked any summer travel yet, he mentioned that he intends to visit Penn State, Louisville, Maryland, State, and UNC.

Richburg will probably make fewer school selections following his junior campaign. He believes that UNC, Virginia Tech, and State have an excellent chance of making the cut.

The East Forsyth standout stated that he will probably announce his decision in the spring.
