NC State Adds Two Prospects to 2025 Class
Over the past week, NC State has welcomed two new prospects to its 2025 class, both of whom have switched their commitments from other schools. The first addition is offensive lineman Kage Payne, who quickly accepted the Wolfpack’s offer and decommitted from Troy.
Payne is a three-star interior offensive lineman from Ohio, and with a name that suggests potential, he is expected to become a standout player in college. He initially committed to Troy on August 2 but changed his mind just 11 days later. Currently, his only power-conference offers are from State and Syracuse.
Additionally, defensive back Gerritt Kemp recently transferred his commitment from Duke to NC State. He had initially pledged to the Blue Devils in June but visited NC State shortly thereafter. Kemp has also toured Ole Miss and Michigan State. Standing at 6’3″ and weighing 185 pounds, he notably recorded an impressive 514 receiving yards on 16 receptions last fall.
With these additions, NC State’s 2025 class now comprises 18 commitments.
