JUST IN: Magnificent coach eyed by Barnsley as Aberdeen incoming boss Jimmy Thelin could lose key coach

Peter Leven is reportedly under consideration by Barnsley as they search for a new manager.

The acting manager for Aberdeen has been named as a candidate for the vacant manager position at Barnsley, who are looking to replace Neill Collins, who was fired earlier in the week. Despite being in the playoff positions, the club’s decision to let Collins go has added to the pressure. Leven, who has been in charge at Pittodrie since Neil Warnock’s departure, has made a positive impression with some strong performances, including against Celtic in last weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-final. According to The Daily Record, Leven has caught the attention of Oakwell due to his previous experience working with Middlesbrough’s academy in the south.
