JUST IN: Kansas City Royals are gearing up for the series opener against the Tigers by making adjustments to their lineup

The Detroit Tigers will face a revamped Vinnie Pasquantino when they take on the Kansas City Royals in a three-game series starting Monday night. Pasquantino, who had been struggling at the plate, made a significant change to his appearance after a fashion critique from Royals manager Matt Quatraro. Adjusting his jersey by buttoning it up, Pasquantino has since excelled, going 2-for-3 with four RBIs in recent games.

The Royals, now 29-19 this season, are enjoying success, with Pasquantino’s adjustment symbolizing a positive turn for the team. Despite their strong performance, Quatraro remains focused on taking each game as it comes, emphasizing a one-day-at-a-time approach.

In Monday’s game, the Tigers will send right-hander Reese Olson to the mound, who despite a stellar 2.09 ERA, has struggled with run support, leading to an 0-4 record. Olson’s tough luck has made him a statistical anomaly, being the first pitcher since 1913 to have such a record with a sub-2.25 ERA over his first eight starts in a season.

On the other side, Royals’ right-hander Michael Wacha will start, aiming to build on his 3-4 record and 4.71 ERA this season. Wacha has a 1-1 record with a 3.43 ERA in his career against Detroit, making for an intriguing pitching matchup in the upcoming game.
