JUST IN: Jaguars bring back a Talented star

The Jaguars have decided to retain one of their offensive linemen for another season.

In a statement released on Friday, the team confirmed the re-signing of Tyler Shatley. The details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Having joined the Jaguars as an undrafted player in 2014, Shatley has remained with the team throughout his NFL career. He has been present in every game since Week Nine of the 2015 season.

Primarily serving as a backup during his tenure, Shatley has started 51 games as an interior lineman out of his total 145 appearances, including two postseason starts.

During the offseason, the Jaguars acquired center Mitch Morse and retained guards Brandon Scherff and Ezra Cleveland from the previous season.

Washington Football Team’s 2024 NFL Draft selections: Complete rundown of Commanders’ picks across all rounds.

A new era has dawned in Washington. The Commanders have ushered in a fresh leadership team comprising owner Josh Harris, general manager Adam Peters, and head coach Dan Quinn. This revamped group now sets its sights on the 2024 NFL Draft, a pivotal event that could determine the success of this new regime.

With the second overall pick, Washington is highly likely to choose a quarterback, but the exact prospect remains uncertain. LSU’s Jayden Daniels and North Carolina’s Drake Maye are the primary candidates, while Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy also remains in contention.

Selecting their future quarterback is just one of the significant decisions in store for the franchise as they possess six top-100 picks. These valuable assets can be utilized to bolster the team around the incoming signal-caller. Washington’s strong draft position is advantageous, especially given their positional needs at crucial roles like offensive tackle, edge rusher, and cornerback. Additionally, the team bolstered its roster in free agency by securing talents such as Austin Ekeler, Zach Ertz, and Bobby Wagner.

Since 2016, Washington has yet to achieve a winning record. The upcoming draft presents a significant chance to reverse this trend and establish a foundation for sustained success in the future.
