Just In: Georgia Tech Experienced Wide Receiver Target Landon Roldan Makes College Decision

Georgia Tech missed out on securing Landon Roldan, a highly skilled wide receiver, as he committed to in-state rival Georgia. Even though this outcome was somewhat expected, Georgia Tech lost out on the local wide receiver. Landon Roldan, a 2025 wide receiver from North Oconee High School in Georgia, decided to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs, despite previously visiting both Georgia Tech and Georgia.

This recruitment marks a positive turning point for Georgia Tech, as the school has been seeing one of its best classes in years. With a top-20 class and the No. 2 position in the ACC, Georgia Tech has made significant strides in recruiting within the state of Georgia.

Roldan, a three-star prospect ranked 632nd in the country, 97th in his position, and 68th in the state of Georgia, also received offers from other schools including Vanderbilt, Army, Navy, and Central Michigan.

The recruiting dead period in college football has commenced, signaling the conclusion of official visits for the summer. Georgia Tech recently wrapped up a successful recruiting month, securing 16 commits and propelling the program into the top 20 nationally in recruiting rankings.

As a result of this progress, the Yellow Jackets have moved from being ranked fifth to the second spot in the ACC recruiting rankings. With their current momentum, Georgia Tech has a strong chance of landing a top-five class in the conference.
