Vonn Bell, a former Ohio State safety, is making a move as an NFL free agent, returning to a state where he has previously found success in his football career. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that Bell has joined the Cincinnati Bengals, reuniting with the team where he played and served as a captain from 2020 to 2022.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport mentioned that Bell has secured a one-year, $6 million fully guaranteed contract, with most of the payment covered by his former team, the Carolina Panthers. Bell will be earning the league minimum salary with the Bengals.Following three successful seasons in Cincinnati, Bell signed a three-year deal with the Panthers last year.
During his time with Carolina, he started in all 13 games he participated in, tallying 69 total tackles, two passes defended, and an interception. However, the Panthers released him earlier this month.
