Just in: Exciting news update, Michigan have made another commitment move Concerning A talented five star Quarterback

There’s been a lot of excitement surrounding Michigan football recruiting lately.

The Wolverines secured their first five-star commitment since 2022 with offensive tackle Andrew Babalola this week, and there’s also talk about the possibility of five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood switching his commitment.

If  Underwood were to join, it would be a huge win for recruiting, significantly impacting the program and the quarterback position. However, Underwood has been committed to LSU since January. Some Michigan staff attended his game on Friday, where he played against Michigan commit Bobby Kanka, making it tough to draw conclusions from that, though it’s likely that we’re not reading too much into it. Sam Webb from The Michigan Insider also suggested that Michigan could flip top-100 cornerback Shamari Earls, who is currently committed to Georgia. Earls is set to visit this weekend. Additionally, three-star wide receiver Jamar Browder, who is committed to North Carolina State, is also projected to flip to the Wolverines. Browder, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound player from Lake Worth, Florida, is ranked No. 782 overall in the 2025 class, according to Steve Lorenz from The Michigan Insider, and the Wolverines are actively pursuing him.

The Michigan basketball team faced Toledo in their final exhibition game before the season, emerging victorious with a score of 96-92. The game featured numerous possessions and a fast pace. Freshman point guard LJ Cason led the Wolverines with 20 points, while Roddy Gayle also contributed 20 points, shooting 9-of-10 from the free-throw line and hitting one three-pointer among his four field goals. Vlad Goldin added 13 points, and the Wolverines knocked down nine three-pointers, with Cason hitting all four of his attempts. Sam Walters chipped in 11 points off the bench in 14 minutes, including two shots from long range. The Rockets averaged 1.08 points per possession and made eight three-pointers, primarily in the second half. While there’s room for improvement on defense, the overall performance isn’t a major cause for concern.
