The Pirates’ cornerbacks coach, Jules Montinar, handled the recruitment of Horne, who received an offer from ECU on Feb. 7, 2024. He had also received offers from Colorado, James Madison, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Syracuse, Temple, UAB, and Western Michigan, among others, in addition to those from the schools in his final group. The Pirates currently have 14 commitments in the 2025 class, ranking 73rd nationally. Horne is the second commitment from Florida, joining running back Eddie Love Jr. from Fort Walton Beach, and the two are currently the highest-rated commits in the Pirates’ ’25 class.
