JUST IN: Eagles Trade $45 Million Star for ‘Impressive Return’: Report

Following months of speculation, the Philadelphia Eagles have at last agreed to trade Hasson Reddick to the New York Jets. What stands out as unexpected is that the Eagles are receiving merely a conditional third-round draft pick in exchange for a pass rusher who has consistently recorded double-digit sacks over four consecutive seasons.

Eagles fans have reason to be optimistic, as given Reddick’s track record, there is a strong possibility that the Jets’ owed pick could escalate to a second-round selection.

“Transaction Update: The Eagles are trading edge-rusher Haason Reddick to the New York Jets for a conditional third-round pick in the 2026 draft, which has the potential to convert to a second rounder, as per sources reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter in a message on March 29 via X. If Reddick achieves a 67.5% playtime this season along with 10 or more sacks, the 2026 pick will shift to a second round. Otherwise, it remains a third-round pick in 2023.”

Eagles Update: Analyst Describes Philadelphia’s Acquirement of Haason Reddick as a ‘Noteworthy Gain.

Heavy Sports recently examined a trade scenario from Bleacher Report where the Eagles would receive the No. 30 pick in the first round from the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Reddick. The actual trade value of Reddick ended up being lower than anticipated. Bill Barnwell of ESPN praised this trade as a “remarkable acquisition” for Philadelphia given the circumstances.

Barnwell commented on March 29 on X, stating, “This trade brings back quite a significant return for a player the Eagles were considering releasing if no trade was made. The 2026 draft pick could potentially be of high value if the Jets do not have a solid post-Rodgers strategy in place.
